mixing strains

Has anyone put two different strains in a jar? Does it make a hybrid of the two? IT takes two spores to germinate so maybe the two could be different strains.

Normally, like spores will 'mate' with the other like spores. I've done this many times and not had a cross between the two. It wouldn't be a 'hybrid' if you use two strains of the same species. If they did 'cross' it would be like a black human and a white human breeding. The result wouldn't be a sterile 'mule' but simply a cross. What you'll notice if you do that is you'll have both strains fruiting at the same time or each strain fruiting separately, or one strain will take over the other. It's fun to do though.

Are there some strains that are more dominate by nature? There traits usually supersede other ex. Brown eyes over green?

this is usually not recommended, because the 2 strains will be competeing for nutes and you will not get the maximum yeild you would normally desire. this is fine for expermintation.. but not optimal conditions for the strain.
