We just had a pool put in and the people that put it in really wrecked our lawn. Then some guys came and sprayed this green stuff all over the places that were dirt and ruined. We have an automatic sprinkler system, do you think there's a possibility of mushrooms growing there?

If mushrooms were to grow there, they would probably not be safe to consume, since mushrooms can absorb and concentrate chemicals that are in their habitat. I don't know what green chemicals you are talking about but it doesn't sound like something organic.

Sounds like they sprayed Hydro Seed...

Its a mixture of Grass Seeds and fertilizer They spray on..
The seed and fertilizer is mashed in a pulp paper and it holds the seed and such to the ground so the small grass seed can take and root with out being washed away with the rains ...
As far as Mushroom growth I highly doubt it! The Hydro seed fertilizer probably has a bit of anti fungus mixed in as fungi can consume small grass seeds..
