mmgg cake, need help

I was using the poor mans method on the mmgg site. ever thing was going good , I had a all white cake in very good shape. So i put it in the little growing chamber which is a cut up coke bottle. I put a little damp paper towl under the cake and the put the bottle on a heat pad at about 75". There was was growth really fast, little white balls gwoing all over it and getting bigger. I thought these were pins and that ever thing was going good. But after a week these balls have grown into each other and look like huge tumers, there still white and ever day getting bigger. I fan the cake about 4-5 times a day. Does any body know what this is, is ever thing going good, or what?

Your humidity may be too high - cakes will add 'bulk' but not pin if the humidity is too high.

Though this generally relates to adding mycelium as opposed to hyphal knots
