I live in south Florida and don't know where to get shrooms at. There are a couple cowfields a few miles from me and I was wondering... will I most like find shrooms growing off cow dung on any random cowfield provided its been raining? I know shrooms dont only grow on dung, and I know not all them on dung are active. But is it more than likely that I find some mushrooms in these fields? Thanks for your help.

yeah, ps. cubensis and pan. cyanescens grow on cowshit down here bro.
you MIGHT need to go north a bit to get into really cowfield-y areas. some places down south just don't have enough cowshit.

Yeah. Check cowfields like 12-48 hours after a rain if it's been sunny out. Make sure to check under the pies too, for pins.
Good luck.
you can find alot of cubensis here in FL.

Oh, a word of advice, look HARD and long.
One time we looked at a field for 2 hours, and found nothing. When walking back to the car, we found one mushroom. Then we got a nice fervor, knowing there were more, and found about 15 caps. Needless to say it was our first time hunting, it was a medicore success, but now the field, when picked proerly, can yield 100+ caps that are VERY potent.
Make sure to check multiple times, and search long and hard, if we had given up earlier, or missed the cap, we would've missed out on the best field in this region.

look slow, too. you often miss that cowshit pie with the magic fungi becausew you're in sucha hurry you forgot to look IN the grass.
my first hunt was unsuccessful because the only cowshit pies i paid attention too were the ones i could see easily from a mile away. got to look close to get the gold, or atleast the closer you look the more you score
eh fuck it, im baked

If you found 1 cube in the field there were at least 10-15 that you missed.
The first few times I went hunting were unsucessfull because I was not looking properly.
Slow and steady. Walk a grid thru the field. Walk about 10 feet take 1 step to the west/east and go back the direction you came 10 feet, take a step to the west/east and go back the other way 10 feet.........
It is a long slow process. Minimum of 3 hours walking.

ok ill lay it out for you down here in south florida horse shit is where its at and in your cowfields if they are being fed orange peels shrooms will not grow maybe one or two but nothing that will be worth your time the citric acid kills the spores befor they ever have a chance, but in my horse fields the cubes are killer 4 inch caps and all, but actually yesterday i found some Copelandia cyanescens in a recently abadoned 150 acre cow pasture. so good luck on your hunts.

Can anybody else confirm that orange peels kill spores? I know they are fed orange peels but do they really kill spores?

just wondering, has anyone tried to ask if they can check the fields and gotten a 'yes'? I'm contemplating it, and know it would be different per farmer, but maybe there's a general consensus. thanks.

Yes, yes, yes! It's the only way to go Basically, you need permission. Do a little search on it, you'll see what I mean. And, please people, don't f* up other peoples properties, or try to take things off the property. Tresspassing and stealing are our biggest enemies.
