Who will march in DC for the big rally calling for the end of "Operation Iraqi Liberation"? Click here.
I'm not sure if I'll make it or not, but I'm curious how many of you are planning to attend.

No. But I could understand a protest before the war, but now?
This just showcases the ineptness of the left-wing peaceniks. Honestly, will you be proud of yourself if your actions resulted in the U.S pulling out right before stability was achieved only to see the country break into civil war with possibly millions dying?
Is that peace to you? Is that justice to you?
Once again, humanism doesn't mean a damn to the nutjobs as long as their hatred can be directed toward those in power.

Maybe we would have protested before the war if we had known our reasons for going there were nothing but lies. 9/11 just happened, the bushies had us all waving flags and supporting our leaders. Low and behold they were lying to us in almost every word that came out of their mouth about iraq.

I never can tell if you just fuck with people on here to get a rise or what but it's hilariously narrow if you're serious.

Might drop bush's ratings even lower and maybe make more people question what has happened. It may not be much but it is something.
I'd go if it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg to drive there.

When are we going to protest the actions of Islamic terrorists in Iraq? They threaten to detonate a suicide bomb in a religious crowd and you protest our actions, there certainly are some interesting values being shown today.

The same thing it did when Americans and people around the world protested to stop the initial invasion. People in the cold, freezing for nothing.

Haha, you guys would love it if everyone laid down and let our corrupt government have their way no matter what.
That's not going to happen. We're going to fight until we bring down the evil empire once and for all.

Though I think this war was a mistake to begin with, how exactly do you propose that we "end" it? Pulling out and leaving the country in chaos? We're in too deep now.

What, everyone is just criticizing liberals for rising up against our evil government. What do you want me to say? Damn right, smash the system. Rip it to shreds right now.
World peace today.

I'm going to try my best to make it there. I went to a huge march on DC a few years back right before we invaded.
The problem with protesting is that most people think like most of the people in this thread...that the cause is good but protesting is ineffective. If EVERYONE that thought that came out to help protest, I honestly think it would make a very powerful statement to the gov't, because of the sheer number of people.
Truly, protests help the government realize that "hey wait a minute! The people out there elected us and if we don't listen to what they want then at the very least we might not be re-elected!"
Whatever though, we're already in Iraq and it's doubtful we'll be leaving there anytime soon

At the very least, protesting allows us liberals to see and feel that we are united and that our fight against the great beast is gaining momentum.

Hehe, best protest sign ever!
And yeah, it's like a giant battery recharge...helps us remember that we're fighting the good fight (if such a thing exists, lol)
