Fruiting temperatures

Hi guys...

have been a lurker here for ages. Have read heaps of different teks and I'm on my second attempt with simple PF jars B+ strain.

I have had my first pin on a cake 2 days ago, some other little pins started yesterday but growth seems really slow. From what I can tell the main reason for this would be temperature, it's winter here and it does get a bit cold. Also I open the poor mans pod every morning to have a look.

Would the temp be a big factor in the growth rate?

Should I leave the lid closed all the time?

Outside of 74-77F. growth will slow somewhat. It's pace is directly related to how far from optimum the conditions are, IME cooler temps effect growth much more than warmer temps (outside the optimum range).
Depending on your actual RH inside the PMP you should be fine with taking a peek. GL
