strange gelatin like stuff on my cakes
    #4610422 - 09/01/05 11:28 PM (11 years, 3 months ago)

hey guys,

wanted to know if you could guess what this is. I incubated my pint pf jars for a few weeks. I noticed that when i removed them from my jars, one of the cakes had a couple of spots on it that was almost like a clear gel. the gel was slimy and had a different odor. but it did not have a contaminated odor. Has anyone ever had this on their cakes. i put it in the fruiting chamber as planned and im hoping that its not some kind of strange bacteria.

I had that same shit lol.

It's not a contam.

And I cased 4 days ago and there is mycelia growth on the casing layer.

And as a matter of fact I just put them in my fruiting chamber they were doing so well.

I really don't know what it was, but it's not a contam.

Good new for ya huh?  :froman:
