Brown spore print
    #4608194 - 09/01/05 12:47 PM (18 years, 6 months ago)

Brown spore prints are bad right? That usually means they are poisonous? I found some nice looking brown mushrooms growing on the side of a log and I took a print and it's a clear cinnamon brown. That's no good.  :frown:

now brown spore prints doesnt exactly mean its "bad". some cubes have a chocolate brown looking print. and even the common agaricus sold in stores has a brown print and thats in just about every store bought product containing mushrooms. now you say its cinnamon brown? take a brown marker and make a line next to ur print, and tell me how different cinnamon brown and "brown" are. cinnamon or rust colored prints usualy do mean trouble. your mushroom being found on a log with cinnamon brown prints sounds like it could possibly be the poisonous galerina. and yes that would be no good.

I can't find my camera either. The mushrooms are brown and very rounded. The cap is like half of a 0. Doesn't bruise either. I'm pretty sure it's poisonous. I live in Michigan and we have no cubes here. Sadly enough. I need to start looking in some fields for some Panns.
