brusing after picking

i have shrooms at all different stages on my cakes. I just picked a few that are done and now the cake is brusing where i picked them from. Is this normal? Should i be doing somthing different??

It's OK; some of my cakes are completely blue from peroxide misting and picking yet they still continue to produce nice specimens. Just watch out for the smallest tint of lime green!!!!!
