As you may notice by my join date I am not that new. But it is all relative though. Anyway, I came to the Shroomery in 2002 under a different nick and just kinda trolled around, maybe 30-40 posts total up until end of 2003. Came back with this name this past winter.

The reason I came to the Shroomery was the same reason I joined several other forums, theHive, overgrow, SC, etc. I was mainly an information junky at the time and nothing ever really fruited from any of those forums. In the beginning I stayed away from the Pub and the community forums because I wasn't here to make friends.

On a personal note I have been around just about every drug imaginable over the past 3 years. I stayed away from just about everything though. Weed on occassion and my favorite drug of all, MDMA. :smile:

I had avoided shrooms and all other hullicinogens because I didn't think I would enjoy the trip. It wasn't really a worrying factor, I just enjoyed the socialness of X or alcohol. I thought hullicinogens were more isolationists drugs. Thought they were more for self actualization than anything.

Well, I hippy flipped a couple months ago and had my first straight shroom experience a couple weeks ago. It made me realize that tripping is more about community and socialization than any other drug I have tried. You may not want to be in a huge crowded club, but the whole experience is about experiencing the trip together. Having someone to trip with and help quide each other along.

Anyway, to make a long story short. I realized that I am more a part of this community than I thought I ever was or ever would be. I have missed out on the experience for a long time. I realized that it isn't about the drugs, it is about the people you meet and make friends with. I am still very new to the community, but I feel that I am slowly getting to become a part of it.

I planned to be around the more social forums now and just wanted to say hey.
