Yeah, you should really stear clear of the lysol. I just cleaned out my tub with some bleachy water. I sprayed the shit out of it afterwards to make sure none of that bleach would stick around to haunt me. You want to be sterile, but you don't want to make mutants, and lysol will fuck those guys up. I had a few muties on one cake though, and the friend who ate them had a blast. I would pick those mutants though, if there looking as weird as you say they are, they probobly aren't going to grow much more anyway.

Also, richardcypher, those brf cakes that you didn't grow are beauties. I'm not sure I understand the reason for the ice trays. Are they there to provide a space for a bottom casing layer? Whatever your doing looks good.

richardcypher101 - Those are some of the craziest cakes i ever saw. The Myc. seems to be taking over the pins themselvs i had this happen in early stages but that quickly went away.

ah... not to be a dick, but those cakes look pretty nasty... bluish coloring in the fuzzier mycelium... and that frost over the shrooms.. i'm pretty sure you don't want that...

I went ahead and did a harvest today. Lots of THICK fruits but they were all mutants... So thick that drying is gonna take a bit longer... I have some promising growths left on all the cakes!

I want to try and bring this post back around to the BRF vs fresh ground BRF...

I know a lot of us have all sorts of experience in this area... let loose the dog of war...
