    #460024 - 11/16/01 12:18 AM (22 years, 28 days ago)

Me and two associate recently used two prints of mexican #3 from spore works on 9 cakes. We used tupperware jars, cause there is a lack of mason jars here. We also used brown rice and perculite (same chemical compound as vermiculite, or so i've read). we have growth on myc growth on one, but none yet on others...not enough time? it's been 5 days. any help would be appreciated....

BR and perlite as the substrate? I never heard of that before. But just cause I never heard of it doesn't mean it don't work. Anyways, give them atleast 3 more days, then worry.

He didn't say perlite, he said perculite. All vermiculite is is mica heated until its expands, like mineral popcorn. If that's what perculite is, then you did nothing wrong.

5 days isn't always enough time. With tazmainas I once had to wait about ten days for growth. BE patient
