in case you wanted to try the alternative browser opera, but have always been diswayed by advertisements unless you pay some $40 fee, here's a little tip - they are giving away free registrations since it is their 10th anniversary. probably won't work after today, but you can actually get an infinite number of them!

Is it free forever, or is it one of those things where it's free for a month and then suddenly it doesn't work anymore?

And is Opera supposed to be better than Firefox?

I'm gonna try this thing out, see how fast it really is.

I'm running it right now. Seems to run just about the same as firefox. Firefox loaded msnbc.com a couple seconds faster though. Both load much quicker than I.E.

Thanks for the nice hookup Krish.

For me, and I'm on a Mac here, Firefox loads faster than Opera. Opera loads all the text pretty quickly but it takes its times loading all the images and getting the boards set to the right size proportions.
