So a few weeks ago me and a couple friends ate about 2.5g and enjoyed a cool summer evening at my friends house, just hanging out and diggin some new paintings and other things.
The landlord has been working on the apartment below my friend's for some time, fixing things and getting it prepared for new tenants. He does a lot of power-sawing and drilling and hammering and stuff. Typical suburb, lots of houses close together and stuff.
The fucked up part is he seems to always come to work on it at night. Like he'll come at 9 and finish around 11 or 12. Now I'm assuming he has a job and doesn't have time to do it in the day, this is understandable. But imagine this.
You're sitting out on the front porch of your house. It's about midnight. You're tripping nicely. You're listening to the crickets, the bugs, the leaves, and the slightest noises from around the block. One of those really quiet nights, where you can hear cars miles and miles away. And then the silence is broken by a LOUD echoing powersaw. About every 6 or 7 minutes for a good 3 hours. No joke.
Now the whole time we thought this was absolutely histarical; you know, basically, WHO does that? Every time that saw turned on we would burst into laughter. But, seriously, would it be that hard to come an hour earlier? Or perhaps, do it on the weekend? It was a TUESDAY NIGHT.
People...if you're gonna fix up your house, do it at a REASONABLE HOUR when it's not dead silent on your block, or else you might trip out the neighbors with your bizarre acts of senselessness.
