Saw the movie "March of the Penguins" last night. My lady only said the word "cute" about 300 times.
Pure National Geographic world-class photography with a great narrative by Morgan Freeman.
The story centers around the breeding, egg-warming and chick-hatching ritual of the Emperor penguin.
In one part, the males must keep the egg warm in temps below -60 degrees F without food or shelter (except for the group) or DVDs for over two months - and with minimal bitching.
I nominate these fine creatures as Zen Masters extraordinaire. I doubt any human (even compensating for biological differences) could perform a similar feat

if you compensated for the biological differences, he would be a penguin and therefore be able to do exactly what you described..
now would a human care enough to keep the population going... hell no, at least i wouldn't

Penguins have even invented their own operating system.
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Linux is altogether non-fluffy.
