Limit to depth?
    #4591126 - 08/28/05 04:04 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

ive managed to aquire some poo, was thinking about doing it in a bin, perhaps 1-2 feet deep. Is thier a limit where depth doesnt have any impact on the life of the cake, or is it the more poo i use the longer it will survive? If i do 10lb's worth of poo all at once, how long should i expect the cake to flush? is this a bad idea due to moisture loss?

Substrate depth for big ass indoor h/poo substrate tray should be around 4 inchs, and not more than 8 inch's.

Any deeper - doesn't get you that much more return. As, they tend to contaminate before they use up the substrate.

Big h/poo also tend to create a LOT of HEAT during the spawn run - unless it is perfectly conditioned - at spawning. So, you can have one COOK itself, unless you can control peak heating tempuratures.

36X26X10 inch mortor mix tub - with about 8 inchs of substrate.
Sumbitch weighed about 80 lbs.
