Looking for a alternative to AGAR

I saw mush mush video clips of how they use agar. Very nice method, but I do not want to order it through the mail and I haven't gone out looking for it. What type of stores would sell this substance, and if it is possible, can I just simple chicken or beef broth (the cans of chicken or beef juice for thanksgiving). It kinda seems like it would do the same thing. But I am not too sure...

you can get agar at some health food stores, or organic type grocery stores, or oriental food stores.

as an alternative why not try a brown rice flour paste

you may want to do a search on PDY Agar (potato dextrose yeast)
its where you boil potatos n shit....
im too tired to write specifics but if you cant find anything on it, ill type it up.
