I have read the FAQ and the achives and some say to have the RH 95-100% while others say to have it lower like around 70% i was wondering what some of you guys do, have you had better luck with high or low humidity for a casing? if it helps i am using a coir/verm casing

I use high humidity 90-95% range, I have found that high humidity a warm teps makes for overlay, I use high humidity but a 71 degree pinning temp, them once pins form I go up to 76......

The high humidity is to get them to pin. once they have pinned you can lower the humidity to around 85% because they will be absorbing the moisture from the casing. Peace.

At 100% RH there is no transpiration. Transpiration happens to be a great aid in pin development as long as it's not excessive. Casings will do there best at 85-90% depending on how they are maintained, cakes do much better at 95% +/-.

wut if my mycelium is only just reaching the surface of my casing? i already put it int he fruiting chamber and it's very humid in there, would the pins just never develop?
