A couple question's please help me out!
    #4586592 - 08/27/05 05:01 AM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Started 4 jars 5 days using uncle ben's rice now there is myc growth.  After Growth was noticed I went and read through a couple of guides again and noticed they said to only use organically grown BRF and if is not Organic BRF is there a difference I mean I know pretty much you can use a lot of different substrate mixtures and also can I grow two different strains in the same fruiting chamber?  Thanks in advance

it really only matters about 'organic' if you're concerned about the mushrooms
taking up and chemicals that the rice may have during it's growth or that it has
been treated with after harvest, many assume there will be fungicides present

Ok thanks for info after looking at the package again it says 100% natural ingrediants so i think i might be ok on that but what about growing 2 different strains in the same fruiting chamber?

I dont think you need to worry about there being fungicides on any rice, organic or not. I mean really, don't you think that people would start dying if they ate rice that was full of fungicide?
Yes you can grow as many species as you like in the same fruiting chamber. Just remember to not mix them up.

and what I meanb y not mixing up is, so you at least know what species it is, i.e you know say you have some mexicans and hawaiian and they look pretty much the same and you take spores right, it would not be nice to have some spores circulating that are in fact another strain.
