No, thats idiotic. If you want to silence a round, a soda bottle works for a few shots. If you have access to a machine shop and knowledge of the operation of a CNC lathe, I could get you more detailed information. A soda bottle works allright though.

in order to silence a bullet u must have somethin to get rid of all the gases through alot of holes... this way it doesnt come out in one big burst, it leaks out all the different holes at once thus silencing the blast

no, but there is an easy way to make a home made scilencer. I saw it on csi, dont really remember the chemical you use though.
