fastest colonization time?

Hey everyone. Really new to the Shroomery but i gotta say I love it. Anyway I just started my first pf jars this morning and it got me wondering what is the fastest colonization time anyone has ever had?

I think 12 days was my fastest on a pf jar - it was PF recipe with bee pollen.

i did 4 jars with EQ on monday and now it is about 25% i have heard that wbs will colonize a lot faster though. keep your jars around 84 degrees and in the dark and it will happen alot faster

Your fastest colonization times will be between 82-84F. Expect to wait 2-3 weeks. BTW I've had an agressive myc rip thru a qt. in under 5 days.

i think it took about 14 days for my EQs to fully colonize. i tried to keep my temps at 86f. good luck!

I just had 5 half pint finish in 2 weeks. They sat at room temp. I also accidentaly over innoced them.

Leave it purposely dry and you can add lots of LC which will have it colonised very quickly. These jars were inoculated with 30ml of LC each, this photo is after 72hours

Thats slow i innoced some cheerios last night and they were 75% colonised this morning Ill be casing them by dinnertime

depends on the substrate that your using...
and if your using multi-spore inoculation, or a liquid culture inoculation, or colonized agar wedge...etc.

8 days for quart WBS/rye with agar (little tip for agar users: take a big wedge to start, but dice it up a little before innoculating = multiple transfer points)

(Still an amateur), but Amazonians have consistently taken about 3-4 days to germinate, and another 12-13 days for full colonization; (15-17 days total). This was using PF cakes. That rate is nothing special, just one that I recorded with solid data. - Listen to Hyphae
