Think about it, brother....This place has taught countless thousands of people. Why not eventually plan a Online Mycology Certification through several course taught with Paul Stamets' books and all the other fungi books out there. It would be easy and incredibly fun for a lot of folks. Think of the outcome of several thousand mycologists who actually know what they're talking about and were schooled thoroughly.

We need to come together as a team with the administraters kicking up their authority a notch or two. It's ultimately up to the leadership of this site. What they say and do will go.

there are lots of good growers around but there are also many 'shake and gro' growers...
sure the shroomery is VERY educative but it's far away from being a university!

crap, i voted before i even understood what the hell he meant. yes, it is very informative but it is in no way close to an organized school. it would take a great effort from the administrators and members to pull something like that together. many people can't afford to devote the majority of their time to be "professors" without giving up their daily job and life. just ain't gonna happen. i'm sure there's universities out there that can teach you if you really want to know everything about mycology.

Ya I don't think they'd be too receptive of "Shroomery University"

But if it could be done I think it would be a cool idea and also provide the Shroomery with website funding. There could be some people around here qualified enough who would enjoy working from home.
