Alternatives to terranium incubation?

Iam looking for a tek that doesn't require a terrarium to incubate as I don't have space for one at the moment. If I were to place the cakes into a bag containing perlite and water would this be effective?

You don't really need high humidity during incubation.
This is a bit confusing here..are you talking about incubation or fruiting? Incubation can just be done by placing them on a shelf at room temperature. It'll take a nice amount longer that way, but it'll eventually colonize.

Incubate in a box on top of your waterheater or fridge

Sorry, I meant the fruiting stage, not incubation.

Are you talking about incubation or fruiting? Since you mentioned perlite, I'm thinking you are talking about fruiting of your cakes.
well, if you are talking about incubation you could do what djsage420 suggests, that will work fine.
If you ware talking about actual fruiting, you could do a wide variety of poor man terrariums. The simplest I could think of is getting a small tupperware bowl, put moist perlite on the bottom, put your cakes in there, and cover with a plastic wrap top.
I believe Roadkill had some nice pics of some really basic setups, you may also want to talk to him.
hope that helped. GL to Ya!
EDIT: ah yer talking about fruiting...hehe got yer post in while i was still typing. then follow the 2nd part.
