What is the legal basis of the War on Drugs (and other govt agendas aimed at cutting off what appear to be guarenteed legal rights)?? The answer is in article I, section 8 of the US constitution:
Congress shall have the power...To coin money, regulate the value thereof...
"Regulate the value thereof" is the key phrase because like everything else, civil liberties cost $$$: to uphold the constitution at its face value on an individual level will impose a certain per-capita liability on the economy. If this liability plus the case wage exceeds the cash wage determined by the competitive labour market, then enforcing all the constitutional rights of every individual will force inflationary pressure on the dollar. Even with the gold standard, prices may not go up; but there would be shortages of goods and services, meaning that the gold is worth less since there is less to spend it on. So by cutting off freedoms, congress is exercising its constitutional perogative to regulate the value of money by controlling inflation. And the global "race to the bottom" will soon force wages to near zero or possibly even negative (which means that you are cannibalized as raw material for the biotech industry, Josef Mengele style). Obviously, this leaves no room for any per-capita civil liberty cost. Occasionally, however, congress and/or the courts are skeptical of the economic grounds for imposing fascism. In such cases it may be necessary for the financial elites to stage a terrorist attack as a "Reichstag fire", as was done on 9/11.

Only the new citizens will be "cannbilized" because the other families who survived this inflation will have saved and profited with money they obtained.

The legal basis for the "War on drugs" is that any politician who would be against it would lose about 80% of his/her constituency. It's all about getting elected. ALL OF IT. Now as far as the spec ops going into the inner cities and mowin down every nickle baggin' rock slingin' ni**er I would have no problem with that whatsoever. They sap their communities of BILLIONS annually, (with the willing participation of their customers mind you) These are the violent elements of the drug culture.

Mklanglo, that's total bull shit. If someone wanted to smoke crack until they rot their brain, why shouldn't we let them? MOre money is wasted, arresting, prosicuting, jailing, and fee street scum. The reason for the drug war is money. I people could legally grow their own weed, it would replace the dollar and form as people would use it to barter. Such barters would betransactions that the Gov couldn't get a peice of, they can't tax it. AFOAF grows nuggs, and he gets everythign he needs. Got snowboard, his car, even his rent, is paid for with weed. If many people did this, the govenment fat cats would have to go on a diet. what's better for the people, is not better for the peope in power
