Question for those with MSR tents..

Alright... so ive got an MSR microzoid (she's a tight squeeze) .. and ive been half living out of her for the last couple months. When festivaling in agressive weather ive yet to figure out how to "guy out" the cover... there's one guy line attached and 2 more with the pegs..

Simple instructions please?

Those are pretty expensive; if she was too tight I'd probably ask for a replacement.

sorry i cant help, but DAMN how can you sleep in one of those? i feel like 2 people in a 4 person tent is a "tight fit"

heh. its marketed as a 1-2 person tent... thats what gets me.

Shroomism... How do you stake them out? why are they so long? I was under the impression you were supposed to wrap the guy lines around the tent pegs... as there are no extra pegs..

It doesnt make sense to carry an extra 3 pegs, and have lines running 3-4 feet from the base of the tent...

That's why you put a knot in the guy line or cut it short and stick the peg through.. like a foot or less from the tent. Remember.. the idea of the guy line is just as an added support for high winds to keep the tent/fly from blowing away... and most importantly.. to keep the fly stretched tight and away from the tent body so that they cannot touch. They make those guy lines so long just in case you need to guy out by tying it to a tree or something, I would just put a knot in it and stake it a foot or so from the tent.
