Moist Jars
    #4576673 - 08/24/05 11:16 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

The room I keep my jars in got really hot today...about 100 degrees and the jars are verrry moist on the walls and very liquidy. Is my myc ok? Will it continue to colonize? What should I do?

Sounds like your moisture content may be way off. Again ride it out and learn from your experiences. GL

Wait it out and see what happens, other than that can't really do much. But I fear the worst; depending on how colonized the jars were before the high heat exposure. If it starts to smell funky in a few days, then time to start over.

That heat wouldn't hurt the myc let alone kill it. I wouldn't worry, really!

If anything, put them near a fan. Take the filter off(if there is one), only if you put a top layer of verm on.
