Where is your faith
    #457656 - 11/14/01 12:26 AM (23 years, 3 months ago)

I think heaven is here on earth, im posting again cause i cant find the post i am not smart Well i would hate to be stuck anywhere forever, without control. No matter how good, or bad. Living forever would also suck, however stopping existance would too. I think we live on heaven, we have good, we have bad, and we have free will. It is what you make it be. The one thing i think would make it better is if we knew the TRUTH, the answer to why we are here. Maybe it doesnt exist, or we dont, or something, who knows. Maybe that is why religeon exist. It gives us faith, so we dont have to think about what happens, its the temporary answer, the one that will get us by without worrying. Maybe not, i hate to kill my faith, but i dont know what to think, i love everyone and everythign enough but nt too much i dont wanna be one of those people we beat up

To compare this world with heaven demeans it in my opinion. I would much rather be here, heaven means nothing to me. Incessant pleasure? It defeats the whole point. You would be more miserable in this kind of existence than in the alternative down below: at least in hell you'd be permitted the Camusian "meaning from the meaningless" that suffering permits you. It's a far more beatiful image than that of the meaningless decedance being offered in heaven.

Nevertheless, it is the finity of this existence, in my opinion, that gives it all its meaning. I don't wish to sound manic depressive when I say this, but it is death that gives life its meaning in the first place. Like you said, "living forever would suck", you'd get bored of it very quickly. It's only the knowledge of death - the fleeting nature of this existence - that allows us to to maintain any thread of sanity on this planet at all.

i disagree with this. life is pain and suffering. it is a constant struggle. there is incredible goodness in the world, and everything can be considered wonderful when viewed the right way, but i think it is the hope of something better after death that makes people go on living. if death was the end and this was known to be true, then i don't think very many people would find life worth the struggle, if it all amounts to nothing in the end. we would have a society of criminals, suicidals, and drug addicts.

if you meant that the inevitability and also the mystery of death is what allows us to maintain any thread of sanity, then i would agree. people are hesitant to act if they aren't sure of the consequences of their actions.

i do also believe that there is truth that can be known to be the truth, although one may not be able to prove it to be truth to someone who has not already found this truth. two things i believe to be true are that i exist and energy (such as "electricity", something we have a very limited understanding of aside from its observable behaviors) flows through me and all other matter.

Not like you've ever been to either of them!! For real, this heaven vs. hell idea is very immature understanding, and mostly just abused by clergy as a way to control the masses.

This is no place 'hell' according to the Bible. The only references are to lake of fire and sulfur that the Devil will come from to rule the earth for 2000? years. It is in Revelations, look it up.

Heaven is a concept best looked at on its own (not as an opposite of hell). And heaven is NOT just interminable pleasure.

We DO! Most people break the law, suicide is a leading cause of death, and most people are addicted to drugs.

I was always asking these questions... Making up answers that I thought were good. I came to a point were I really had to know truth though. Strange things started happening then. I would get intense energy rushes from head to toe that made my body shake. An energy so strong and good that it sometimes brings tears for what seems no reason. I got interested in qiqong and read anything spiritual I found. I started practicing qiqong and meditating. If you dont know qiqong is a chinese sytem of regulating chi (a type of energy). I could see energy and could feel my third eye. I could feel and move energy in my body. I started being able to feel what other people feel and sometimes know their thoughts. I was always sensitive to other peoples thoughts but this is intense enough to be unpleasant. Just being close to someone I could feel their whole being and their thoughts. Some people have really bad energy. Along with this I was also seeing and communicating with different beings. There are aliens, demons, gods, and spiritual beings at many different levels existing in many dimensions. Lets just say this is all quite shocking to come to terms with. Yet when it happens you cannot deny it. I always believed in these things since a child though.

This was all interesting but for me it just posed more questions and who can you talk to this about? For instance I had encounters with demons. Look back through the bible and many people could see and banish demons. Go to a church now and talk to the pastor about demons. He has no clue. These things exist in a different diminsion that is not visible to ordinary human eyes. Some people are able to see. So with all this my questions increased.

Finally I found what I was looking for.

I was on the internet at around three in the morning. I found a website for Falun Gong. I did qiqong so I decided to try these movements. I choose to do the 5th exercise called strengthening divine powers. Of course right... with a name like that you gotta try it. I started the video instruction and the moment I started I felt intense energy and could see energy in the room. My arms were guided by this energy I felt. This was the most powerful qiqong I had experienced. So the very next day I read the book Falun Gong. I finished it in one day and started the more advanced book Zhuan Falun. I finished this in two days and immediatly read it over again. This book answered all my questions. Everything I had experienced was being explained. Like the universe just opened up and layed out everything you need to know in one book. From then on I started practicing Falun Dafa.

My life has only improved since. I know where I'm from and where Im going. I know and feel things beyond the average person. I dont get upset about anything and if I do its over as quick as it started.

Many people I know have had fantastic experience with Falun Dafa. From diseases cleansed to a whole change in their life. Some people had multiple diseases that all went away. Besides that many have seen wonderfull things. The third eye is opened and one can see other dimensions. While I am not proficient at seeing I have seen great things. In the book Zhuan Falun the Falun emblem inside shines with the most beautiful colors. The colors are of intense light and nothing like anything you see on earth. We've even had people who come up to us and tell us they can see all sorts of energy all over and around us.

If I were to put it simply without all of my story and experience I would say; Falun Dafa is the truth of the Universe and is once again being taught. To live in this time period when it is being taught is very special. There will never again be a time just like this. In the past people searched there whole life for the Fa, Dharma, Law. Just hoping that they would be reincarnated with an oppurtunity to cultivate. People have walked thousand of miles for this and would walk more.
