shrooms?

-Found in Backyard
-Gills are a dark brown color, evenly spaced but with more gills on outside
-cap is light brown-tan
-stem is 2 inches tall, has a shiny copper look to it
-bruising is dark brown
-spore print is dark brown
-root has a bird crap white to it

Are they active?

Given that info, I would guess it is Panaeolina foenisecii, a non active lawn mushroom.
