Substrate Help Plz

They no longer sell vermaculite at stores around here anymore because it out of season. Is there any subsitute i can use or is there any online sites that i could buy verm from? or a different tek like using birdseed or something? if so can you plz help me out.

another substitute, you know those big reddish brown clay pots, break those up to crumbs, works just the same as vermiculite

There is no good substitute for verm but perlite would be my second choice.

There are plenty of teks around useing birdseed. I forget where they are cause I never use it. Just check out erowids and maybe the hawks eye.

I've run into the same problem as you with the verm being out of season. Sucks sucks suck
