 jars left over night inPC?

I turned off my stove and waited for the PC to cool down.. Then I fell asleep leaving the jars in there sealed up all night.
Is this ok??
Should I give em a 5 minute blast just to be sure nothing snuck in while I slept??

I always leave jars in the PC until it returns to room temperature. It's what I recommend.

Yeah, leave them in if poss. Reason is when jars cool they contract sucking air in. The air in the pressure cooker is sterile so it mins the chance of contam.

I have fell asleep and left mine also. It won't hurt your jars but it puts alot of wear and tear on some pc's gaskets.

you can actually leave them in there for over a week or so, as long as there is no air getting in

If they are WBS/grain jars - they may be somewhat difficult to shake.
I let the PC cool down to zero pressure, then wait around 15 minutes more & remove jars while still HOT. Then, using oven mitts - shake them, to insure the WBS will redistribute in the jar.
Then - allow them to cool to room temperature in a clean place.

Definitely makes a difference whether were talking PFTek or grains here, thanks for pointing that out agar!
