Contamination??

This is my first time growing using jars and everything is going fine with mycelium growth. However, about a week and a half into growing, there is one small spot that appears light green in color. It's been about 3 weeks since inocultion, and it's still there. It's not growing and doesn't look like any contamination, but still worries me. I can't get a great picture of it, but this is the best I could do. First picture is of the jar, with small green growth in the bottom left and the second picture is the best zoom in of it I could get. Does this look like it could be contamination or just a weird miscoloring of the vermiculite? Input would be greatly appreciated.

OH yes thats contam. Take a look at the contam forum there will be a little more info on exactly what it is and if you can take care of it.
Also i forgot this tip it helped me during my contam crisis - If it smells like anything but mushrooms (you'll know kuz a good cake reaks of mushrooms) then its contam.

I just wasn't sure if this was contamination, because in every picture of it, it seems like it takes over against the mycenium. This is just such a small spot that hasn't spread at all for over a week. Regardless, I'd want to get rid of it before it decides to spread. Is there a way I can get it out? Like, taking the cake out of the jar and digging it out? I don't know if this would be a good idea or not; sorry for my ignorance on it...

If they look green all over, it's probably the poor picture. But now, after maybe 20 different attempts, I think I got a couple good ones of the jar (a little glare). Also, the pictures above were taken in between two spots were I inoculated it, so it looks like there isn't much growing. Hopefully these are a little better:

Yeha now that I look at it, those pics are pretty bad. It's all about lighting. It just sucks cause the flash gives it a glare and without it it looks like...well....that. I'd try to get a better picture of the small, green spot, but since this afternoon, it's gotten covered by mycelium, leading me to believe it was just a freak miscoloring of the vermiculite. We'll see what happens.
