The Northern Aliance has moved into the City of Kabul (<-spelling). GWB told them not to and they did anyway..
George W. Bush has been quoted as saying this about the matter.
*whiney kid like voice* "No No No, this isnt going right at all, why wont you listen to me, Afghanistan should be Mine Mine Mine".
If If Bush really believs that he can controll this group of drug dealing militia type warriorers then hes as stoopid as he looks. He says the U.N. should step in and create a government system for the country but he has no support from them, never has and they have no intentions on getting involved in that way.
This war on terrorism is backfireing in a Major way. Weve helped to overthrow a government and now its being replaced with another that we dont like.. One which uses its abundant Heroin trade to finance its army and once in place will propably toss us out on our asses without tny thanks...

Who do you think they are trading heroin with?
Russia? China?
Without the help of the Cia they will never capitilize the profit of trading heroin with the U.s.

Most of the world heroin comes from Afghanistan and the surrounding area.. This is where poppies grow abundant and wild.. It dont matter who they sell it to, it all makes its way here eventualy.
And Im hearing more about the UN in this matter.. They will set up something after all but they plan on it taking two or so years and it will take lots of policing action. This recipe means its a verry volitile act for the UN and they may back out of it when things get tough.. Or maybe the people will embrase the Northern Alliance and they will step back and allow for outside leadership to come in.. Who knows..?

And the Taliban also have a $60bn opium stockpile, collected when they declared poppy-growing to be 'un-Islamic' when they came to power....Well funnily enough, now they're saying that farmers may plant again this season....coincidently just as they're gonna need lots of $...
There's been a widely-publicised heroin 'drought' here is Aus since last December, especially since a lack of rain in Burma recently...but the Talibs might well fix that...

Anyway, yeah Bush is pushing to own Afghanistan. He thinks he is going to be able to insert a governemtn like we've done in so many Central American countries. I think he is over reaching.
First, we do not have established basis in Afghanistan to handle a long term puppeteering campaign, like Panama
Second, we have not put much effort into understanding these peoples enough to actualy insert a controllable government.....for example, the CIA has been hard pressed to find translators for basic message translation.

First of all, the CIA is not involved in the heroin trade no matter what it says at AmericaSucks.com.
Secondly, the Northern Alliance means nothing to the US. They are currently the equivlant of "Operation Human Shield" in the South Park movie.
The UN is there and are trying to negotiate a government. The Northern Alliance has their ideas, the UN has theirs. Whatever happens though, the Arabs will likely fuck it up and blame us in ten years like they always do.
At any rate, this thing is still far from over. Peace in that area is dependant on many, many hostile governments. This thing is far from over.

Look, the CIA did move some heroin in the 70s (vietnam) and coke in the 80s (arms trades deals and shit), but they are not involved with liquidating the Taliban's heroin. That is just a retarded notion. The supply routes afor heroin are very very well established for that area of the globe and we have little to do with it on that side. All that Talibani heroin is going to be moving through Europe before it comes our way. If it gets here, it will do so via some Frenchie or a Brit, not the CIA.

I ran a search on the web on the whole CIA drug dealer conspiracy theory and there was nothing there that led me to believe there was any truth to it at all. One newspaper in Arizona ran a story on it a bunch of years ago and no one else picked it up because it was highly speculative.

I remember watching a Discovery Channel show called "Blunders of the CIA" or something to that effect... They didnt link the CIA to any specific drug sales or transactions but the CIA did provide million dollar plains rigged with tracking devices to columbian coke loards to teack smuggleing routs.. The Columbians knew these plains were rigged and didnt care, all we found out was that the drugs werent being flown to USA but to Canada and Mexico then shiped to the U.S.
Their were lots of other accounts of the CIA where they waysted billions of dollars by providing countries and military groups who manufacture drugs with weapons and vehicals in the hope of trying to find some "intel" but all they found out was something that we already knew... Drugs are being made somewhere over their.. And their are somehow endind up over here...
Doobie, if you want to do some real investigative digging.. Check out U.S. Drug Czar Berry Mcaffrey and his families connections to drug smuggleing...
Check out Army Colonel James Hiett (an anti-drug advisor in columbia) and his wife, and their smuggleing activities..
