Casing what....casing who?

I have a casing that is starting to grow patches of mycelium. It's now wrapped in aluminum foil. At what point do I take off the foil?

Oh, and i'm sure this is a dumb question, but I don't let any water touch the casing at this point, do I?

I am trying my first casing as well and everything was going as planned until about 4 days ago when the top layer of my casing started drying out. Someone replied to me that I should lightly mist the casing. This seems to work although this morning was the dryest ever, so I gave it a good misting. So far I have not noticed any bad side affects to the water. ( I also added a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to the water to help with contams. hopefully someone with more experience can enlighten you more.

Take off the foil and place in terrarium when the top is 30-50% colonized.

forget what I said about the hydrogen peroxide...it does help with contamination but slows growth.

Now would be a good time learyfan; keep your humidity 'around' 90% and your temps around 75.

you can mist it once or twice day 'until' you see pinheads
