Pan Cyan...
    #4569538 - 08/23/05 08:03 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Hey all
Its my first time growing the pan cyan strain. I've inoculated 10 jars of rye and 5 jars of a manure based substrate. its been 4 days since and 3 of the manure jars have just started colonising. I'm a bit worried bout the rye jars, they look quite dry. I prep'd them by rinsing them then simmering in water for 45 mins then straining for 20 mins and then finnaly pressure cooking for an hour @ 15psi. They were innocuted 1 day after the manure, so they're a day behind. Any suggestions? Also how long does this strain usually take to see signs of colonisation? I'm keeping a full grow log and will post pics soon. PS incubation temps are round 26-28C (79-82F). Thanks!!

they may be a little dry, I always allow about 4-6 hours of soak time after simmering and about 45 minutes to drain, normaly I just soak them over night

Pan cyans seem to take longer to germinate on grain without manure in it, for me anyway. I wouldnt worry for another week..
