3 leaf pot plant
    #4568846 - 08/23/05 12:55 AM (11 years, 3 months ago)

Has anyone ever seen a 3 leafy mary? This plant is on the 4th or 5th set of leaves and there are no signs of more than 3 fingers each. What gives?

Actually there was a bit of info on 3 leaf pot plants in an issue of DEA microgram bulletins. I dont know which one though.

Let me guess, the DEA said it was the new high potency strain. And as we all know they really know what they are talking about. Probably to weakest shit ever.

Oh, and NO, I am not growing indoors!!!!!!!!!

They could have been talking about how people sometimes try and disguise pot plants by cutting off some of the fingers from every leaf and leaving 3-leafed plants.

its not common place to have more than 3 leaflets per leaf at the first few nodes. they go from 3 to 7,9,11 and have even seen a few with 13 not many though. Have had some clones at times that had grown out with single leaflets through harvest. strange, huh? especially when others from the same mothers grew normal.

lol not to long ago i saw a topic here with a dude who had 1 fingerd plants... seemed to work fine for him too...

if u have less then full sun like me u might produce realy fat or long fingers in an effort to maximise photosythesis.
ull get less of them then usual.

im growing outdoors the same strain as a friend is growing indoors and the difference is realy profound.
his plants have small leafs with 7 or 9 thin fingers wile mine is making leafs twice as big with only 5 fingers that are so fat they have about 3 times the surface area of the smaller leafs of my friends plants.

i wouldent worry about it.

What me worry?

It's just vexperimenting before using some good seed. It's some bag seed that has been collected for a while now out of all the best bags. Some are several years old since these days one can't seem to find a seed in anything decent. Just see em in the shwag and ain't noone's looking to grow that.

Weird though that it has the same number of sets as the other but it is half the height. Just a mini-weed.

Ever seen a four or five leaf clover? Same concept...It usually happens to the plant as a seedling and doesn't appear until it matures...either from damage, malnutrition, or change in light cycles...It's amazing how even the most simplistic things can form deformities

Nothing to worry about, it has nothing to do with potency, genes or heredity...
