Returning a casing to incubation??

There is a casing that was patched and placed in fruiting a couple days ago. However it has not shown any substantial colonization of the surface like it's brother and sister casings did. A quick examination did not reveal any contamination.
So can it be sealed and placed back in the dark in the 80's again for a couple days to increase surface colonization, or should it be just left alone and hope for the best?

So it won't fuck anything up either way then? You're saying it's O.K. to "regenerate" a casing back to vegitative growth?

The transition from vegetative to generative growth has only just began, in other words it's still in veg mode, this complete transition takes anywhere from 5-10 days or more to occur. GL
