those are not Copelandia mushrooms.

they might be a type of Panaeolus, possibly P. subbalteatus.

thanks! Two things led me to say cope. One is the blueing on there light caps, now I understand that cope cyans blue extensively on the cap and stem however I wasn't aware of any pans that blue on there caps. Do subbs blue on there caps? also, and I forgot to say this before, they smell differently then the subbs I have found. They have a distinct starchy semen-y smell, and I seem to remember reading that that was a characteristic of copes (could definately be wrong though) another thing is that I've picked subbs at this exact location for the past few days and they were quite different (see my recent post...)

i think subbalteatus can occassionally show bluing on the caps..
but you should really be looking for blue at the base of the stems mycelium.

Copelandia mushrooms typically smell "spermatic".

interesting find, my guess would be you have found Panaeolus subbalteatus.
tho i'd like to hear others opinions too.

Copes are rarely found north of Valdosta, GA... Much less in VA :P

They're definately Pans. The caps of all Pans will become a buff or white color with enough exposure to sunlight and dry air.

Found these recently. They are different from the others (though I think that maybe one or two of the others might have been the same i dont know). These look alot like some sorta cope. Am I crazy? I know that at least one or two of these were fairly new and did not have very much time to bleach out. What do you all think?

The subbs i've picked showed no bluing whatsoever in the caps or the stems...

Where's the spore prints? I would say the first ones are some sort of pans.
