Help!!
    #4567853 - 08/22/05 07:34 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

My water heater broke while I was at work today and when I came home all my jars were in 96 degree water! Did that kill my babies or what?

Yea, I do believe that it has to be over 100 or so for the spores to be killed.

I could be wrong though.

FYI thermo death limits are known to be 106F. for myc and 122F. (50C.) for spores. This is just a where it's been observed that the myc starts to die off, the duration is whats the determining factor in whether or not it will survive (it doesn't take much viable myc to regenerate new growth).
