Quick question - Do you have to cover uncooked chicken while in the fridge?

I marinated some chicken last night, put it in a bowl, and added some Stubb's chicken marinade. Some of the chicken was uncovered by the marinade, and I didn't put a top or cover over the bowl. Parts of a few wings are red, is that a problem?
I plan on cooking those in a few hours. My question here is, am I going to be eating those wings, or some of the frozen ones out of the freezer because I fucked up?

To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

I normally marinate in a close tupperwear type thing.

another good way is to put a gallon ziplock bag, squeeze air out and no mess, just throw away.

Zip lock bag is a good idea. I would imagine you use less sauce that way also.

best suggestion for a couple reasons, it allos the marinade to cover the meat completely and it prevents contamination of it and other foods
I usualy use a couple zip locks, in case one happens to have a hole

it's oxidized.
I'd cut off the bad part.

Well I just cooked those suckers and they were quite tasty. I think the chicken I got was pretty high quality (local grower I believe). Stubb's marinade is really good stuff.
Fortunately, the oxidized part was the part with no meat, so I didn't consume it. I got regular wings this time, but I didn't like how little meat there was compared to the amount of bone. Next time I'm gonna get cutlets or tenders and make an awesome sandwhich.
