anyone have a mass dunking technique?
    #4562954 - 08/21/05 04:25 PM (11 years, 3 months ago)

For some reason, dunking in jars seems a bit of a hastle to me due to the individuality of it. Does anyone have any techniques for dunking 6+ cakes at a time? I was thinking a small plastic tote, but was trying to figure out how to submerge them in there. Would plastic work, or does it have to be glass due to sterile techniques?

Thanks ya!

A large rubbermaid bin with a lid works fine. So does a 5 gal bucket with a lid.

you can fit 6-8 pint cakes in a large pasta container with a wide mouth. a bucket can work good too, even a rubbermaid tub would work for a whole bunch if you can figure out how to submerge them. A wire screen worked well to keep the cakes underwater.

So contams really arn't that big of an issue anymore, correct?

I think I might try a wire screen with a small rubbermaid.

Thanks!
