Shroom Zoo?
    #4561789 - 08/21/05 05:42 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

I dunno if anyone gets the same kicks as me, but i went to the zoo
(toronto) recently and it was an awesome time. So much to look at and all interesting. Plus the space is huge and theres no one eyeballing you if you act a bit wierd, as long as you dont fuck with animals its all cool as far as the zoo is concerned. The entire time was hilarious, the whole scene, and cool as well cause of all the animals.
Anyone else done this??
it rules

havent done it, but the title of your thread made me think you went to a zoo where the main attraction is mushrooms....

obviously not a very fun time, watching a bunch of mushrooms in a cage....

but now that we've cleared that up, i might have to try it, as there is a large zoo about 6 minutes from my house

Sounds like an interesting experience, provided you don't take a dose too high, the zoo is spaceous and people don't pay much attention to you, and you're sure you can handle your mushrooms. I'd probably spend hours by aquariums and terrarriums :imslow:

Doesn't even come close to real wildlife though.

You might get pretty upset by seeing all these wild creatures caged up though. I don't know.

I think the zoo is sad. I go every few years and it just seems to get worse and worse. I dont like to see the 3 foot long night linx stuffed into a 4 foot cage. Maybe its just the zoo in cincinnati but...

you should report that O.o, that's pretty bad, animals in zoo's need room to roam. I dunno about your zoo but the zoo's in Alaska are beautiful, I think I'm jealous of the animals here, I wish there was a zoo I could live in, well ya know, one that doesn't have bars for doors and isn't called the Alaska state penitentiary  :crazy2:

The next time you go, get a brand new shirt with some kind of drug / progressive reference and put 20 spore prints on it.  Let the wind bbbblloooooww those spores all through the animal kingdom. Tons of great poop there

Yup! I was thinking ho cool it would be to sell those shirts, but 10 prints s pretty pricey   Stamets book "Psilocybe Mushrooms of the World; An Identification Guide" talks about making hats with spore prints.  A nice wide brimmed hat works GREAT for this.  Put the cap on the hat for about 6 hours, then move it to another location on the hat.  I use about 3-4 caps for this and have a lot of nice prints all over the hat.  Then I wear that hat on a camping trip and spread the love around  I figure out of all of those spores, some of them have got to land and germinate somewhere.

Not really smeared, no. I've taken it canoeing and dunked it in the water to get it wet and keep my head cool, and some of it washed off.

I just got done with a week of canoeing in the Boundary Waters... No actives would grow there, but a hat like that would add to my karma when I was tripping. Any ideas on a way to preserve the pattern to the design? Like a big peace sign made out of prints on a t-shirt?

Eventually it just turns a very light gray and no more comes off.  Put more prints on it
