Growing Off Straight WBS

I am thinking of doing this Mini Terrarium Tek in my house. http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/25146 Ill be using WBS instead of PF cakes, and Spagnum Peat Moss for casing. I was just wondering if i will get nice potent mushrooms just using WBS for nutrients? I really dont want to mess with pasturizing poo to mix with it, if i can get results using just WBS. Im not looking to make an insane amount of mushrooms here. Maybe like 2-3 dry ounces total from 3 qts. or so of WBS.

WBS is potent and produces dense shrooms, depending on your setup. the only flaw is that their are alot of aborts and shrooms are sparse.

will i be ok to use just pasturized moistened spagnum peat moss like from wal mart? Thats really all i have easy access too. Im thinking fill the cup up a good 2 inches with colonized WBS, then cover loosely with a baggie for about 24 hours in the dark. Then case with the moist moss, spray the bag, and give about 2 hours of light a day.

check out the 50/50+ casing tek... id mix the peat with verm if you can't get a hold of coir... and you'll prolly wanna sterilize the peat not pasturize...

what would be the easiest way to steralize the peat? Microwave 5 mins stir, then microwave another 5 min? Or would that not be good enough. I guess i could put it in a jar and PC it for about an hour.
I dont have easy access to verm or coir.
Also would it be best to break up my WBS then keep in dark for about 1 day. Then case and keep in the dark another 1-2 days. Then start giving light for fruiting?

Wal-Mart sells potting soil called "Moisture Control" and it has coco-coir in it, I have used it a bunch of times Id use that over spagnum anyday, you need to add a little verm to it but its good stuff

This is helpful for grains, if you don't want to worry too much about getting the right moisture content. Just soak for 24 hours, drain for a couple of hours, toss in some verm (maybe a 1/4 cup at most) for a quart jar, put the lids on, shake to distribute the verm, then PC them as per usual. I was having problems with wetspot before, and adding a bit of verm to the grain jars essentially makes that no problem. I don't simmer, though. And sometimes I change the water while the grain is soaking to bring it back up from room temperature after say, like, 8 hours. Sort of like a half-rinse and warms up the grain/soaking capacity halfway through the soak.
I don't know if this is necessary, tho. Most likely not. But I also talk to my grain, while it's soaking, too, and whisper sweet nothings into the kitty litter buckets I soak it in, so it sleeps and soaks well overnight.
