the cool thing about poo is that it's so easy that anyone can do it... it takes just as much effort to spawn to poo than to do the cakes or any type of casing, IMO... if you can get a hold of some poo, go for it bro!!

what else is great is that i didn't sterilize/pasturize any poo just got it from the horse farm and picked some spots in the shade.
in my next experiement, i wanted to see how big i can get these guys. if i'm understanding correctly, the larger the substrate(depth, width and height), the larger the fruit... is this right? i've been thinking of potential probs that might occur with such a deep patch: (ie overheating) what if i took some pvc pipes and drilled a bunch of holes into them and layed them evenly thru the middle of the substrate, kinda like exhaust tubes. this way the middle of the poo will be able to let off some steam and cool down.
is this a good idea or should i just go for a mountian and see how it fares?
thanks a bunch you guys i owe it all to you!!!

Poo and straw will produce big ones, If you make a casing to thick it will go aerobic I say go for it, i have grown 90 gram wet shrooms just using coir/verm casing material before Thickness of substrate doesnt have anything to do with shroom size Nutrients are what makes them grow big unless they are a geneticlly small species

IMO its a waste of time with the possibilities of hurting the grow. You are growing these outside, let mother nature do her job, you aren't gonna do it better.
