My First Mycelium!

:mushroom2: My mycelium is growing marvelously, two days after being placed on the agar, and I have a simple question for all of you who know what to look for.  As long as the mycelium growing is fluffy and white, that means I have no contamination, correct?  Or is there forms of white contamination I should be watching for, and if so, how would I know? :mushroom2:

what you want is white and ropey, when you see that, allow it a few days to grow
and then transfer that portion to new agar plates

Take it a step further by isolating the rhizomorphs for greater flushes cut the part of it with thicker rope like strands then hit new agar, then cut the ropiest part again then hit new agar after a few times when it's really ropey hit liquid culture with it then hit to whatever substrate of choice. You'll be in for mega flushes. and btw you could hit subs with the left over agar so you can start eating now, but nothing beats isolation for future grows.
