Outdoor Grow Question...

Ok, I have 8 1/2 pint jars that were innoc'ed like 6 days ago, the growth is amazing.
It surprized me that in only 6 days 3 jars are 1/2 way colonized..
BTW, the srtain is cambo...
Well, I want to try an outdoor grow.
I will be doing this in my backyard under a HUGE pine tree...
There is a lot of dead bark that has fallen off the tree over the summer.
My backyard has sprinklers that come on twice a day.
Once at 6 in the morning, once at 7 at night.
So I was wondering, after I have a few fully colonized jars, could I
dig a 4 inch deep hole under this tree (not right next to the tree),
put some of the trees dead bark on the bottom, then the mycelium, then
some more bark/verm/sphagnum peat moss on top?
Seems like it will work, but I'm unsure so I'm asking you.

Pine needles, debris & bark isn't good stuff as substrate. If you spawn it to h/poo or c/poo - you would be far better of.

That's where the mission of finding cow/horse poo comes into play.
I live in the suburbs, right by Sacramento.
Absolutely no farms/ranches around here...
Unless I can make a friend with a family farm, I'd have to order
offline.
And I don't really want to spend 30 bux on 5 lbs of Tenn. Stud Substrate.
If worse comes to worse, I'll just case

Just for fun, I did a quick on/line phone number search of the Sac area. There are several HORSE stables, etc, etc around your area & close in. If I can find h/poo, so can you. All you have to do IS LOOK & don't be afraid to ask for some.

Yeah I just went to a horse farm the other day for my first time and asked them if I could have some horse poo and they were totally cool with it.

So you don't have to pasteurize when doing an outdoor grow right?
Just leech and let dry in the sun?

i would think that you would still need too but im not sure.

My only argument against having to pasteurize poo for an outdoor grow is
that they grow on completely un-pasteurized un-leeched poop.

Cubes grow on shit, I actually saw a few that grew on a huge pile of
horse poo when I lived in S/W Florida... (ft. myers area)

Are you the one to leeches and pasteurizes all the cow poo in the cow
fields?

I live IN sacramento and I feel blessed to have some MUCH free horse shit around... there are HUNDREDS of stables in the sac metro area.
