Today's finds (again, nothing active)

I went hunting for Liberty Caps in the Vitosha mountain today, but all I found were those buddies:
Hygrocybe conica
Panaeolus phalaenarum
Panaeolus sphinctrinus (or some of its cousins)
Panaeolus semiovatus
And a pretty Psilocybe semiglobata:
I was surprised to find so many dung lovers and no subbs or foes.
There were also those really tiny Panaeolus-like species fruiting from dung: about 1-1,5cm high, cap about 0.5 cm in diameter, cinnamon brown, slimy, gills whitish, mottled, stem whitish, tough. I guess they're pretty common and inactive, any ideas?

I didn't take pictures of those Panaeolus dwarves because of my camera, it is difficult to tell where the focus goes when you shoot very small objects in macro mode. Next time I see them I'll pick some.

could the smaller un-identified mushroom be psilocybe coprophilia?

lol, that's some flower I shabbed. The miniature mushrooms have cap and gills shape very similar to other Panaeolii. They are clearly not Psilocybes. I'll take pictures and prints next time.
On a side note, here's a picture of the [probably] most interesting find that I ignored at first:
This looks like Psilocybe (Hypholoma) polytrichi or Psilocybe (Hypholoma) elongata. Found growing on peaty, boggy soil (not on sphaghum though). Stem hollow, gills yellowish, mottled, adnexed. Pity I didn't keep the specimen.

I don't see any needles in the picture, but there are conifer trees and bushes all over the place, this is at altitude of about 1500-1600m

Beautiful pics there! I am interested in photos of the pans that don't get posted often. Keep posting your stuff.

Do you ever find subbalteatus in the same places as non-active Panaeolus? Often when I'm fishing a mountain stream I'll find a bunch of non-active panaeolus growing out of cow dung, but no subbs. Is it worth taking a closer look for subbalteatus if there are non-active pans around? Thanks

Thanks, Wallace!
Snakemanj7: I have never found Subbalteatus at all and am wondering the same thing. I haven't hunted much for it though, and I always tend to be 1-2 days late and most of the mushrooms I find are too old to identify. My guess is that the presence of non-active Panaeolii is a good sign, and I've read similar opinions by other forum members.

I think that subbs must need a good long soaking rain. In the patch I watch, several species of coprinus mushrooms fruit readily while I only found subbs after a few days of the rainy season.

This is useful info,Wallace I'll be watching this pasture more closely, that was my first time there. There was a herd of about 20 horses there, so the surrounding area must be pretty saturated with dung
