Either your not sterilizing the bag long enough, or the syringe is contaminated. Or your filter is allowing contams to enter the picture while the bag is incubating. You could always try a different cultivation technique, don't give up though.

Did you buy the bag or make it??? spray some oust air sanitizer in the room BEFORE you even pop the top on the needle. Spray lysol or alcohol on your work bench and whipe it down to make sure your work AREA is clean. i always do this twice although i think i have OCD. when you inoculate a bag always whipe the needle down with alcohol and clean the injection site off too. just a few quick little dabs of alcohol on it will do. very very rarely you might have a contaminated syringe, try looking at some spore suspention fluid under the scope. the most common places the contams come from are you, your air, your tools, and your substrate. hope this helps. good luck

It sounds like the bag needed to be sterilized better from what you've mentioned about the black mold being in the center of the bag. Bummer! You'll have to chuck that bag and start again. Don't open it or fool with it. Just trash it.......

It sounds to me like your wasting alot of money ordering presterilised materials. If you buy a pressure cooker and some quart jars, a little bit of Rye or WBS and you can make a shit ton for what your paying these people to do the work for you.

Now your just being negative dude. If you go into this expecting to fail then your going to fail.

So if you had con-tams using a pressure cooker at home and are getting con-tams from presterilized substrate then it seems that its in your inoculation techniques.

Here's a way to determine at what point your getting the con-tams.

Make up 10 jars. Inoculate 5 of them, and put all the jars in the incubator to colonize. If you get con-tams in your non inoculated jars then its in the sterilization process. If its only in the jars that were shot up then its in your syringe or inoculation procedure.

Give it a shot with both the ordered jars and some you make up your self. Remember you should be having fun with this.

I think maybe the problem is in your techniques, if everything you tried is
contaminating, then I would have to say it's something on your end thats causing it
