prints

do you guys let your spore prints dry at all before you cover them with foil??i just sliped in a filter disk in the jar i made my print in ..there was condensation on the glass jar..so after 24 hrs i sliped in the filter disk..is this right or should i just wrap up the print upon completion??sound dumb i know..i have always coverd my print right away but they didnt look at wet  as this one :rolleyes:

No not dumb at all, a print should be dry before sealing it up or it could contaminate, so you did good. Some folks even make a desiccant chamber for their prints.

but at the same time, you want to make sure that print isnt exposed to any unfiltered air. A good way to make prints is to use a larger piece for the top, like a bowl. Sterlize your plate, foil(or paper), and bowl in the oven (300F for at least 20min), after cool place your cap on the foil or paper, and put the bowl back on top. Prints are never wet upon completion.
