Have you been handling them? Spraying them directly? It's not a bad thing if they are bruising, unless you are handling them unecessarily, which could introduce contams...If you must handle the cakes, do it in as sterile conditions as possible...

Do they look dry? they could be drying out that would cause them to blue aswell.
what are the temps in the chamber as well as the humidity?

As long as it's not green your fine. Some cakes just seem to bruise on their own. Just to be on the safe side, I put all the cakes that have any questionable discoloration in their own seperate quarantine chamber. They almost always end up being healthy.

im not real sure of the temps and stuff but what i have is one of those clear big ass rubermade containers with about a inch of wet perlite on the bottom it is a little cold this time a year so i put a heating pad under it to keep it warm because there is no heat in my closet it should be good for the temp the humidity looks fine i can see it on the sides do you guys think the heat pad could evaporate the water out of the cakes? i dont think it gets that hot in there

You might want to check the temps. I start freaking out when my cakes get above 74f..

Ahhahaa for real? My sgfc stays at about 78-80. You know mushrooms don't naturally grow in colder climates correct? (If you're keeping it lower temp on purpose for prevention of contams, I'm not sure if it's worth it. )

The answer is usually dryness.  However, they can bruise from other things too like handling them, misting them too directly, and very low humidity, causing extreme surface dryness.

If your cakes are dry, let them sit in a saucer of water for an hour or two and wick up moisture.  And then do your mist fan schedule as normal.  Make sure your RH is in check, if not, you are going to need to mist more often than normal.

Also, lower your SGFC temp to 70-75f.  That is about normal fruiting temp. Not 80f man.

Cheers.

Is that optimal or necessary. I'm not having any problems right now. In other words, has it been tested? I also know others who don't go that low. Thank you very much for letting me know, though. I'll try it out sometime.

Optimal.  Not necessary. And yes.  This is the normal fruiting temp for veterans here.

Do you believe it's related to that actual temperature or the increased air flow(since ac has to kick on A LOT more, which leads to increasd evaporation?

Fruiting lower temps is just better all around. You fruits will grow denser and meatier stipes and caps, and they won't tear.  They may also be slightly more potent (but that's mainly genetics).

Evaporation is for pin formation.  It doesn't play a role in the mushroom phase, except for the fact you need to replace any water lost.
