you should be ok in that time frame, you will definately have spore mess everywhere, but a day/day and a half longer isn't bad. after about 2-3 days the mushies will start to die/rot. The longest i've left them before was about 4 days after full maturity when I left town....by then they were slumped over and looked like they were beginning to rot. I wound up tossing them.

cool, that is plenty of time...if they are only 2" tall, they have a couple of more days to get to full maturity. you may even get back b4 the veil tears on some of them. Sounds like you'll be back right on time, nothing to worry about. post pics, I love mycoporn.

Hey, if I remember correctly from your previous post and from that picture, I would try using a thinner layer of casing next go- to get a better pinset. It looks like the mycelium never actually grew through the casing enough.

But hey, like you said. At least it produced something.

I agree with poster above. You should be fine. Just let it go until you get back unless the veil breaks first. Then pick em.

the "valleys" might be the problem why you didn't get the results you were looking for... try to get that casing layer a lil less deep and as flat and even as possible to achive a nice even pinset
